Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is not just creating a terrible loss of life, but it also increasing the risk of lower growth for the world economy. In this session we will discuss the likely economic consequences of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the responses by the international community.

Among others, we will analyse the following  issues:  How large will be the impact on global growth and inflation?  What will be the response of the main central banks? What will be the consequences for indebted countries? Will a ban on oil and gas imports from Russia create a recession in European economies? Will the financial sanctions affect the role of the US dollar as the dominant world currency?
