Managers must be agile, adaptable and emphatic in the current climate to discover creative opportunities for growth. If you aspire to develop the competencies of a senior general manager, we have just the program for you: IESE’s top-ranked Program for Management Development. IESE's programs are known for its interactive learning sessions and dynamic use of the case method, which put participants in the role of senior decision makers to explore real-world leadership challenges. Join us online in the PMD Open Day and you’ll have the chance to experience the case method firsthand and its ability to sharpen your strategic thinking.

During this event Professor Romain Boulongne will moderate discussion of the LEGO case. After signing up to this event you will receive an email that will grant you access to read the case and we recommend you to prepare the following questions:

  1. What has led the LEGO Group to the edge of bankruptcy?
  2. What is your assessment of management moves during “the growth period that wasn’t” (1993-98) and “the fix that wasn’t” (1999-2004)?
  3. As Jørgen Knudstorp, what would you do throughout the LEGO Group in order to turn the company around?

Following this, Siamak Rostamian, Associate Director of International Executive Programs, will briefly present the PMD and alumni will join us to share how the program helped them strengthen their management and leadership skills.
