Snarky Puppy case: “Jazzing Up Your Team Boundaries: Leading Agile Teams”

Disruptions ranging from the pandemic to AI integration have highlighted the need to reconsider how organizations design work and make work inherently attractive and engaging. The increasing number of start-ups that have popped up across different sectors over recent years are actively experimenting with new forms of work and are slicing work in different ways than what we have been used to. In this session, Professor Sebastian Reiche will introduce a complex team from the creative arts sector as one example of such experimentation. Based on this example, we will discuss and reflect on how teams can be led in a more open and agile manner, and ultimately make work more meaningful for key talent.

Managers must be agile, adaptable and emphatic in the current climate to discover creative opportunities for growth. If you aspire to develop the competencies of a senior general manager, we have just the program for you: IESE’s top-ranked Program for Management Development. IESE's programs are known for its interactive learning sessions and dynamic use of the case method, which put participants in the role of senior decision makers to explore real-world leadership challenges. Join us online in the PMD Open Day and you’ll have the chance to experience the case method firsthand and its ability to sharpen your strategic thinking. During this event Professor Sebastian Reiche will moderate discussion of the Jazzing Up Your Team Boundaries: Leading Agile Teams case, following this, Siamak Rostamian, Associate Director of International Executive Programs, will briefly present the PMD and alumni will join us to share how the program helped them strengthen their management and leadership skills.
