Management and challenges in Public-Private Partnerships for European tram systems
Infrastructure management of the tram systems has generally been articulated through forms of Public-Private Partnerships that have allowed knowledge, experience and technology of the private sector to be incorporated into infrastructure management. The PPP for Cities Research Center of IESE Business School, in collaboration with Autoritat del Transport Metropolità (ATM) of Barcelona, has collected examples of successful implementation of this transport system in Europe in the document: "A comparative overview of the tram system in Barcelona, Bordeaux, Dublin and Manchester." The document aims to provide a comparative description of the contractual performance of different tram systems in four European cities. It also explores different relevant indicators that help to better contextualize the supply, demand and payments to the operator in each case.
We would like to invite you to the online event of presentation of this document where the transportation authorities and other representatives of Barcelona, Bordeaux, Dublin and Manchester will share with us their views on the future challenges ahead in the management of European tram systems. Please register to receive the connection details to the event.
If you have any questions for the Speakers, we will receive them in the inbox: pppcities@iese.edu
The study will be sent after the webinar.
