Do I need to hire the student after the MBA Summer Project is completed?
No, you are not committed to offer a full-time role to the student. Your commitment is solely for the months of the project. However, many firms do see advantages in hiring the students after the MBA and end up doing so.
Do I need to pay IESE for this?
No, there is no financial obligation towards IESE. Additionally, if you have open roles, it is complimentary to post jobs on our free job board for students.
How long does the project have to be?
The minimum duration of the project is 300 hours, which corresponds to a period between 8-12 weeks. Typically, this takes place during the European summer months.
What if I am a small start up or have never had something like this before?
All companies are eligible for this program. Our team is here to guide you and help you determine how to ensure that you and the student have a valuable experience.
Do projects need to be in Spain?
No, projects can be offered globally and historically have taken place all over the world. They can be offered on-site or remote.
Do I need to sponsor visas?
For projects in Spain companies do not need to sponsor visa because given that it is a mandatory internship that is part of academics, MBAs are covered by their student visa and/or work authorisation. For other countries it will depend on the student’s nationality and the local legislation about mandatory internship agreements (between company, student and School).
Is the internship mandatory?
Yes, it is a mandatory internship required for the student's completion of the MBA program.
