Experience
IESE
and its General Management Program.
IESE
Business School invites you to experience the case method and to get to know
our Program for General Managers Munich in an open online session. We'll discuss the case "From the Titanic to Hurricane Katrina' with a focus on the psychology of decision making, led by Professor Johannes Müller-Trede. It will be a great opportunity to
learn more about the program among peers and to witness the IESE experience.

Why Join
an Open Session?
During the
Program, the case study method will be the primary learning method.
The open session will give you a first insight of how our Program for General
Managers courses work. It will show you part of the preparation process as it
is an exact replica of a real course. You will prepare the case individually,
see what the key issues are and where your focus would be, and then discuss the
case with the professor in the online session.
The Case Method
What would you do?
First used
at Harvard in the early 20th century, this method has since become very popular
because of its effectiveness in developing knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
Here are some main benefits:
Unlike the
traditional teacher-centered methods, at IESE teaching is based on the
participants and their professional experience. The participants study the case
individually, prepare it in groups and tackle the problem to be solved. The
professor facilitates and guides the class discussion. In response to the
prognosis prepared by the participants, the professor encourages the
participation of the whole course to deepen the discussion with different
viewpoints based on different experiences from different industries and
multicultural backgrounds.
