Experience the Case MethodDropbox Case
IESE Business School invites you to experience the case method and learn more about our Global Executive MBA Program through recent program alumni. Guided by IESE Prof. Mathieu Carenzo, you will explore the case Dropbox.
Dropbox is a venture-backed Silicon Valley startup, that provides online storage and backup services to millions of customers using a "freemium" (free + premium offers) business model. Dropbox was founded in 2007 by MIT students Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi as a start-up company, with initial funding from seed accellerator Y Combinator. Dropbox has been ranked as one of the most valuable start-ups in the US and the world, with a valuation of over US$10 billion, and it has been described as one of Y Combinator's most successful investments to date.
We recommend you read the case and think about why was Dropbox so successful at inception, early growth and initial scale? How Dropbox and its founders were able to reach more than 600 Millions users in such a competitive landscape? Those are some of the questions we will cover in our session.
Join Prof. Mathieu Carenzo on March 16 at 14:00 CET, and come ready to share with the group your take on the previous questions. Do not hesitate bringing further topics to the table!
