We are honored to host Ángel Losada, who will discuss "Geopolitical Shifts in the Middle East: Risks and Opportunities for Europe". H.E. Ángel Losada is Ambassador of Spain in Iran, Former European Union Special Representative for the Sahel. He proposes to provide insights into Iran, the Gulf States, and the peace processes in the region, the confrontation with Israel, and the nuclear agreement with a focus on diplomatic and economic implications for Spain and the UK.
Ángel began his professional career at NATO in 1982, coinciding with Spain's entry into the organization. He joined the diplomatic service in 1984. As a career diplomat and former high-ranking EU official, Ángel Losada brings more than four decades of international experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. His career has spanned complex geopolitical environments, high-level diplomatic negotiations, and international mediation processes.
Ángel holds a law degree from the University of Navarra, and received the extraordinary graduation award (1978).
