We are thrilled to return to in-person events in the Bay Area. We thank Anna Binder (MBA-05) for hosting this event. The exact address will be provided upon registration.
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping work, human resource management, and career trajectories by transforming job tasks, skill requirements, and managerial practices. Evidence to date points to meaningful productivity gains, alongside uneven impacts across occupations, sectors, and workers. Looking ahead, AI holds the potential to address long-standing labor market challenges—such as skill mismatches, inefficient HR processes, and barriers to opportunity—while also introducing new risks, including job polarization, algorithmic bias, and intensified workplace monitoring.
This event will examine what current evidence tells us about AI’s labor market effects, explore emerging opportunities and challenges at the policy and organizational levels, and discuss how governance choices will shape whether AI contributes to more equitable and inclusive career development or reinforces existing inequalities.
