Energy, Competitiveness and Regulation

Alberto Pototschnig. Economist specialising in energy policy, regulation and market design, with a focus on European markets. 
He is currently Executive Deputy Director, World of Practice at the Florence School of Regulation and leads the ‘Regulatory Policy Workshop Series’ focusing on the most relevant aspects of the energy sector. He was the first Director of the Agency for the Cooperation of EU Energy Regulators (ACER) between 2010 and 2019.

Nick Butler. Energy economist, focusing on the economic and political aspects of the transition. Professor and founding chairman of the Policy Institute at King's College London. Formerly vice-chair of the Strategy and Policy Development Group at BP p.l.c., and subsequently senior policy advisor to UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. He also contributes to the Financial Times, the Nikkei Asian Review, and Prospect magazine.
